METAVERSE X RACER REVIVAL
Live Brief.
Real Deadlines.
Garments chosen to be manufactured and sold.

Each model wears a different designer

Basic Premier - a manufacturing company in Leicester produced a live brief. Requiring us to work in groups to create a collection based on merging the trends racer revival and the metaverse.
This 5 week project kept us to strict deadlines and allowed us to get live feedback from the company throughout. Learning to create strong connections with the brand.
Diving into their competitors and learning all about them to see where our clothing is going into the market allowed for us to have clear direction when designing. Also knowing a full profile for the customer highlighted the direction more.
Our group colour palette was blue, white and black which we had gotten from our research into the metaverse.
I spent a week and a half designing and doing in depth market research to really understand the market, customer and allow myself to exhaust every idea.
My main inspiration for my garments were racetracks and the silhouettes that they create. I created a racetrack within my bodysuit which lines up at the side seams so that it is a continuous loop. Outlined in blue piping as the safety barriers on the track. The cut out on the skirt mimics the straps on a biker glove to bring through the racer effect more.
Group Line Up
Throughout our collection a lot is carried through each piece to keep it cohesive. As a group we checked in with each other daily to ensure our looks worked as a collection.

Our group, our work and the team at Basic Premier. Such an amazing project to be apart of.
